Why subscribe rather than export

An export is a snapshot: add a camp next week and the file you downloaded is already out of date. A subscription keeps updating, which matters because the events that appear on their own are exactly the ones you would forget to add — the camp a coach mentioned in a text you logged last night.

How to add it

• •iPhone / Mac: Calendar → File → New Calendar Subscription (or Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Subscribed Calendar), then paste the link.
• •Google Calendar: Other calendars → + → From URL, then paste the link.
• •Outlook: Add calendar → Subscribe from web, then paste the link.

Camps are days, not appointments

A camp is "June 14", not "June 14 at 9am", so events arrive as all-day entries. That is deliberate — inventing a start time would put a fictional hour in your family's calendar, and an all-day entry is what a phone shows at the top of the day where you will actually see it.

Treat the link like a password

The link has to work without signing in, because a calendar app cannot log in for you. Anyone who has it can see your camps and visits, so do not post it publicly. You can rotate it at any time from the same Sync panel — though calendar apps cache aggressively, so an old link can keep working for a while after you rotate it.
