We're not a recruiting company. We're a family of athletes who got tired of watching good kids get lost in a process that's expensive, opaque, and stacked against families who don't already know how it works.
One of us played soccer at IUPUI. The other played volleyball at UNCW. Between us we have four kids — playing basketball, soccer, and volleyball — and our oldest is heading into junior year, right at the start of the recruiting process. So none of this is theoretical for us. We're living it in our own house, right now.
When I was being recruited, I had my heart set on a big Division I school — so those were the only programs I ever wrote to. My parents were my only advocates, and they did everything they could, but none of us really knew the game. I sent letters to a handful of huge names, heard back from almost nobody, and ended up at IUPUI.
Here's the part that stuck with me: I had no idea how many incredible programs were out there — schools where I could have contributed, started, and thrived — because I'd simply never heard of them. No one showed me. The entire world of college athletics beyond the famous names was invisible to me.
I don't want that for my kids. Or yours.
Two things, really:
Skoutd works for the athlete — never as a judge of their worth, never as a sales funnel pointed at your wallet. You review every email before it goes out. You see every coach we suggest, and why. Your information is yours. One simple price, no contracts, no upsells, no $5,000 “packages.”
We built the tool we wish our family had — and the one our own four kids are about to use.
